Mattress Sizes and Which Decofy Bed Takes Which
The Decofy queen platform bed takes a standard Queen mattress, 60 x 80 in, 8-14 in thick. The loft bed is Twin in its title but full size in its description - check before buying a mattress. The folding bed comes with its own 5 in mattress.
The standard sizes
| Size | Width x length |
|---|---|
| Twin | 38 x 75 in |
| Full | 54 x 75 in |
| Queen | 60 x 80 in |
| King | 76 x 80 in |
These are nominal sizes. Mattress makers publish their own exact figures, usually within an inch of these.
Decofy beds, one by one
| Bed | Mattress size | Thickness |
|---|---|---|
| Queen platform bed frame | Queen | 8-14 in |
| Metal loft bed | Twin per title; full per description | 4-6 in recommended |
| Folding bed | Own mattress included, 75 x 31 in | 5 in (included) |
The loft bed: check first
The loft bed's listing title and size field say Twin; its description calls it a full size loft bed, twice. A full mattress is 16 in wider than a twin. Ask the seller before ordering a mattress. The thickness limit matters for a different reason: the manufacturer says the mattress top must stay at least 5 in below the top of the 13 in guardrail.
No box spring
The queen frame is a platform: 11 metal slats on 9 legs carry the mattress directly, and the manufacturer says no box spring is needed.
No King
There is no King bed frame in the current Decofy range, and no Full other than the loft bed's unresolved size.
Questions
Does Decofy make a king bed frame?
Not in the current range - the bed frame is Queen.
Can I use a 15 in mattress on the queen frame?
The manufacturer lists 8 to 14 in. Anything outside that range is outside what the listing covers.
